Youth Employment Program
The Youth Employment Program is designed to provide help toward the attainment of a high school education and development of work skills leading to employment. Teamwork and leadership growth alongside educational and employment achievement are goals youth participants are encouraged to apply toward success. Services include mentoring, education, workshop activities and work experience.

Cal-Learn
The Cal-Learn Program provides valuable support to pregnant and parenting teens. Through arranged mentoring support participants are assisted to achieve their high school education and gain valuable work experience and skills.

Silver Star Resource Center
In collaboration with the County of Monterey Probation Department, Health/Behavioral Health and District Attorney, staff from the Office for Employment Training stationed at the Silver Star Resource Center provides specialized employment services to teens and young adults on probation.

Dislocated Worker Program
The Dislocated Worker Program provides employment and training services to workers laid off from their jobs due to such factors as technological changes, investment strategies, company relocations, and changes in the labor market. Services include assistance with developing an employment plan, interviewing and job search skills and retraining.

Pathways Disability Program Navigator
The services through the Disability Program Navigator are to assist individuals with disabilities access and navigate the various employment support programs and services available in their community. Individual appointments are available to individuals interested in learning more about navigator services.

JobLink
Joblink provides a supportive network matching job seekers with employers. The JobLink networking sessions provides opportunities to learn first hand from employers regarding job descriptions, skill requirements, application processes and potential job openings.

Veterans
The Office for Employment training provides services to Monterey County veterans through a grant from the Workforce Investment Board. This grant provides veterans access to employment training that will meet the demands of our local labor market. Eligible veterans are the men and women that have served in any branch of the armed forces for a short period of time and are in need of additional training to successfully transition into private industry positions. These services are also available for the spouse of any veteran if the veteran is 100% disabled through a service related injury. For veterans not interested in training may take advantage of the job search services and workshops provided at the One Stop Career Center.
